用于配制 CAPS 緩沖液，一種在 pH 7.9-11.1 范圍內有用的兩性離子緩沖液。 CAPS 緩沖液廣泛用于蛋白質印跡和免疫印跡實驗以及蛋白質測序和鑒定。用于將蛋白質電轉移到 PVDF (sc-3723) 或硝酸纖維素膜 (sc-3718, sc-3724)。該緩沖液的高 pH 值使其可用于轉移 pI > 8.5 的蛋白質。并且與酶或蛋白質的反應最小，鹽的影響最小。
