3-(2-Chlorophenyl)-5-methylisoxazole-4-carboxylic Acid (Cloxacillin EP Impurity D) is used in the preparation of isoxazolecarboxamides as a class of TGR5 agonists. Also used in the preparation of b-lactamase inhibitors.
