2-Isopropyl-6-methyl-4-pyrimidone, is an intermediate used for the synthesis of various benzophenone derivatives, having antifungal and antibacterial activities. It can also be used for the synthesis of Diazinon (D416880), and Diazoxon (D416890), the organophosphate insecticides.
