Methyl 4-Methoxysalicylate, is an organic building block, used for the synthesis of (+)-coriandrone A and B, two bioactive natural products. It can also be used for the preparation of Dimethoxybenzofuran derivatives as potent and selective inhibitors of CYP2A6.
