(2S,4S)-4-Methylglutamic Acid is a potent and selective kainate receptor agonist (1). It has been shown that (2S,4S)-4-Methylglutamic Acid can desensitize kainate receptors and also attenuate capsaicin and inflammatory hyperalgesia (2).
