4-nitroquinoline (cas# 3741-15-9) is a useful research chemical. It is used in the microwave-assisted metal-, activator-, base and solvent-free regioselective preparation of (cyano)azaarenes via cynation of heteroaromatic N-oxides with trimethylsilyl cyanide.
