Sucrose palmitate (CAS# 26446-38-8) is a compound found in the essential oils of lemongrass, Origanum vulgare and citrus extracts. Sucrose palmitate is incorporated into oil-in-water emulsions for biological use as an antioxidant and an antimicrobial agent, and as a surfactant.
