Tetraisopropyl Methylenediphosphonate is used in the preparation of E2-bisphosphonate conjugates as potential anti-osteoporosis agents. Also used in the preparation of AZT 5тАЩ-Triphosphate compounds which display inhibitory effects on HIV-1 reverse transcrpitase.
