描述

全反式維甲酸 (ATRA) 是維甲酸受體 (RAR) 和類維甲酸 X 受體 (RXR) 的配體。結合的 RAR 和 RXR 充當轉錄因子，調節正常和噁性細胞的生長和分化。細胞色素 P450 (CYP) 催化 ATRA 的 4-羥基化。視黃酸使胚胎干細胞成為神經元。
