α-(Methylamino)isobutyric acid (MeAIB) 是中性氨基酸轉運 A 系統的競爭性抑制劑，是 N-甲基化底物。它能夠降低在星形膠質細胞頂部發育的海馬神經元中的微型興奮性突觸后電流 (mEPSC) 的幅度。 MeAIB 可以阻斷丙氨酸-脯氨酸 (AP) 途徑。
