描述

2-溴辛酸是昂貴（2,000 倍）和抑制細胞生長的多羥基鏈烷酸合成抑制劑 cerulenin 的有效替代品。當在果糖上生長時，它可以阻止熒光假單胞菌 BM07 中聚羥基鏈烷酸的形成，而對細胞生長沒有任何影響。它抑制灌注的大鼠肝臟和從大鼠肝臟分離的線粒體中脂肪酸的β-氧化。
